Amy S Bruckman

Amy Susan Bruckman is a Regents' Professor and Senior Associate Chair in the School of Interactive Computing at Georgia Institute of Technology. She is renowned for her pioneering research in the areas of online communities, learning sciences, and information ethics. Professor Bruckman received her Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Harvard University in 1987 and her PhD from the MIT Media Lab in 1997. Over her career, she has initiated multiple research projects, including the online learning communities MediaMOO and MOOSE Crossing, and published extensively on topics related to social computing and collaborative computing. Bruckman is a Fellow of the ACM and a member of the SIGCHI Academy, and her book "Should You Believe Wikipedia?" was published in 2022, offering an in-depth exploration of online knowledge building and communities.
