Neha Kumar

Neha Kumar is an Associate Professor in the School of Interactive Computing at Georgia Institute of Technology, jointly appointed in the School of International Affairs. Her research focuses on human-computer interaction and global sustainability, with particular emphasis on global health and community informatics. Her work incorporates feminist perspectives, designing and integrating emerging technologies to serve marginalized communities in the Global South. Professor Kumar has received Best Paper and Honorable Mention awards from several ACM conferences, as well as the Lockheed Dean's Award for Young Faculty and the Excellence in Teaching Award from Georgia Tech. She currently serves as the President of ACM SIGCHI and has authored over 140 academic papers. She is dedicated to exploring how technology can drive social impact and community well-being.
