Casey Fiesler

Casey Fiesler is an Associate Professor and William R. Payden Endowed Professor in the Department of Information Science at the University of Colorado Boulder, with a courtesy appointment in Computer Science. She researches technology ethics and governance, internet law and policy, human-computer interaction, social computing, online communities, and participatory media. She directs the Internet Rules Lab, which studies the intersection of technology, community, and governance. She is a Fellow of the Silicon Flatirons Institute and an ATLAS Fellow. Fiesler holds a PhD in Human-Centered Computing from Georgia Institute of Technology and a JD from Vanderbilt University Law School. She is also a public scholar who comments and speaks on technology ethics, policy, and women in STEM.
