Megan Hofmann

Megan Hofmann is a scholar specializing in digital fabrication and accessible design. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering at Northeastern University, where she leads the Accessible Creative Technologies (ACT) Lab. Her research focuses on the digital design and application of assistive technologies, medical manufacturing, and automated machine knitting. She has received multiple Best Paper Awards at international conferences such as ACM-CHI and ACM SIGACCESS and was honored with the 2022 SIGCHI Outstanding Dissertation Award for her pioneering work in medical manufacturing. Megan earned her PhD in Human-Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University in 2022.
