Jerry Cao

Jerry Cao is a fourth-year Ph.D. student at the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering, University of Washington. He conducts research in the Make4All Lab and UbiComp Lab under the supervision of Jennifer Mankoff and Shwetak Patel. His research focuses on improving healthcare accessibility through digital fabrication and wearable sensing technologies, as well as developing assistive technologies. Additionally, he pursues pure fabrication research, creating novel 3D-printed sensors and optimizing the strength of 3D-printed components. Jerry’s academic achievements include presenting at top-tier conferences and publishing in high-impact journals, making significant advancements in the field of accessibility.
