Lauren Wilcox

Dr. Lauren Wilcox is an expert in computer science specializing in human-computer interaction, responsible AI, and digital health research. She currently holds a senior management position at Apple and previously led research teams focused on human-centered technologies and responsible AI at Google Research. With over 16 years of academic and industry experience, Dr. Wilcox is dedicated to improving technology’s impact on society through participatory, culturally inclusive, and equity-focused research. In academia, she served as an Associate Professor at the School of Interactive Computing, Georgia Tech, where she directed the Health Experiences and Applications Lab. Dr. Wilcox is a Senior Member of ACM and one of the founding members of the ACM Future of Computing Academy. Her research and work aim to advance the social responsibility of AI technologies and enhance their effectiveness and equity in healthcare and health domains.
