Scott E Hudson

Scott E. Hudson is a Professor in Carnegie Mellon University's Human-Computer Interaction Institute (HCII) and has served as Associate Director for Academics since September 2022. The official CMU HCII profile lists his research areas as accessibility and assistive technology, physical interfaces (sensing, haptics, and fabrication), ubiquitous computing, human-agent and human-robot interaction, and tools and programming.

His work centers on technical human-computer interaction, including computational fabrication, 3D printing, knitting and weaving machines, computational design, interactive devices, sensing, assistive technology, uncertain input, attention management, and user-interface tools.
