Rosa I Arriaga

Rosa I. Arriaga is an Associate Professor in the School of Interactive Computing at Georgia Institute of Technology and a researcher specializing in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and social computing. She applies psychological concepts, theories, and methods to address fundamental problems in the field of HCI. Her current research focuses on chronic disease management and mental health. Dr. Arriaga designs mobile health (mHealth) systems aimed at addressing gaps in chronic disease and mental health management. These systems enhance patient engagement, support continuity of care, improve self-advocacy capabilities, and facilitate better communication between patients and healthcare providers. Dr. Arriaga holds a PhD in Developmental Psychology from Harvard University and works on research related to bioinformatics, HCI, and developmental psychology, with a particular emphasis on improving the health and well-being of diverse populations through technology.
