Alex S Taylor

Alex Taylor is a sociologist and currently a Reader in the Design Informatics department at the University of Edinburgh. With over twenty years of experience in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Science and Technology Studies (STS), his career spans both academia and industry, where he has held positions at renowned institutions such as Microsoft Research, Google, and City, University of London. His research focuses on critically examining the societal and ethical impacts of technologies, exploring the intricate and entangled relationships between humans and machines. Inspired by feminist technoscience ideas, he aims to promote the creation of a more equitable world.
