Edward Cutrell

Edward (Ed) Cutrell is a Senior Principal Research Manager at Microsoft Research, leading the Inclusive Futures research group. He focuses on research in accessibility, computing for people with disabilities, and inclusive design, aiming to empower underserved and under-resourced communities worldwide through technology. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Cognitive Sciences from Rice University and a PhD in Cognitive Neuropsychology from the University of Oregon. From 2010 to 2016, he managed the "Technology for Empowerment" team in India, concentrating on developing technologies and systems for marginalized communities. Currently, his research emphasizes human-centered design, particularly computational solutions for people with disabilities.
