Yuanchun Shi

Professor Yuanchun Shi is a Changjiang Distinguished Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Technology at Tsinghua University, as well as the current President of Qinghai University. She obtained her Bachelor's (1989), Master's (1993), and Ph.D. (1999) degrees in Computer Science and Technology from Tsinghua University and has been on the faculty since 1993. Professor Shi has made outstanding contributions in the fields of human-computer interaction, ubiquitous computing, and multimedia. Her research spans areas such as natural human-computer interaction, efficient interaction algorithms, and virtual reality. She is among the most prolific scholars in publishing top-tier papers in the field of human-computer interaction worldwide in recent years. She has led several national key research projects and has received numerous major awards, including two Second-Class National Science and Technology Progress Awards and the 2019 Progress Award from the Chinese Institute of Electronics. Professor Shi also serves as the Director of the Intelligent Human-Computer Interaction Center at the Tsinghua University Institute for Artificial Intelligence, as well as the Director of the Ministry of Education Key Laboratory of Ubiquitous Computing.
