Marcos Serrano

Marcos Serrano is a professor at the University of Toulouse (Université Toulouse III - Paul Sabatier) and the Toulouse Institute of Computer Science Research (IRIT), where he also serves as the head of the ELIPSE research group. His research focuses on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), with an emphasis on theoretical design and empirical evaluation of ubiquitous interaction. His work spans the design of interaction techniques for non-conventional displays, immersive environments, and mobile devices. He leads the National HCI Research Network (GDR IHM) of the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) and chairs the Steering Committee of the ACM MobileHCI international conference. With extensive academic and industrial experience, he co-founded an interaction design agency in Paris, designing large public touch interfaces showcased at the Pompidou Center in Paris. Marcos Serrano holds degrees in Computer Science from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and the Grenoble Institute of Technology (ENSIMAG).
