Ulrik Lyngs

Ulrik Lyngs is a computer scientist with a cognitive psychology background. He is currently a Researcher at the University of Oxford and an external Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Copenhagen. His research focuses on how the design of digital technologies can leverage insights from behavioral and neuroscience to support users in managing their attention and self-regulation. He has extensive expertise in digital self-control tools, especially in the effectiveness of design patterns and their impact on user autonomy. Additionally, he is committed to advancing Open Science through the promotion of transparent methodological reporting and reproducible research. His work has been supported by various grants, including from the Carlsberg Foundation, and has been published in leading international conferences and journals.
