Andrea Bunt

Andrea Bunt is a full professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Manitoba and a co-director of the HCI Lab. Her research focuses on Human-Computer Interaction and Intelligent Interactive Systems, with particular emphasis on improving software learnability, enhancing computing experiences for remote communities, and designing technology for children and families. She has published numerous impactful research articles in top-tier conferences and journals, receiving multiple best paper awards. Her work has made significant contributions to improving the usability of complex software, supporting children and parents in configuring and safely using connected devices, and providing web-based solutions for small business owners in remote Canadian communities. As a mentor, she has guided many students who have received scholarships and become successful researchers.
