Tovi Grossman

Dr. Tovi Grossman is a professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Toronto and the Co-Founder and Chief Scientist of AXL. His research focuses on human-computer interaction, particularly leveraging emerging technologies and artificial intelligence to create advanced and engaging user experiences. Formerly a distinguished research scientist at Autodesk Research, his innovations have been integrated into commercial products used by millions, such as Autodesk Screencast and Autodesk Sketchbook Motion (Apple's 2016 iPad App of the Year). He has authored over 180 peer-reviewed publications, holds more than 100 patents, and has repeatedly received Best Paper Awards at ACM UIST and CHI conferences. Dr. Grossman is a recipient of the NSERC E.W.R. Steacie Memorial Fellowship and the Sloan Research Fellowship. His work spans mixed reality, intelligent user interfaces, and technology-assisted learning, aiming to enhance human interaction and learning through technology.
