Lynn Dombrowski

Lynn Dombrowski is an Assistant Professor at Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI), with a strong academic background in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). Her research focuses on social justice, aiming to explore and address complex real-world social issues. Professor Dombrowski’s work spans a range of critical topics, such as designing interactions for marginalized groups (e.g., transgender individuals, autism communities), labor rights and technological support for low-wage workers, online identity transitions, and data-driven sustainable food systems. Using methodologies such as qualitative research and participatory design, she examines the role of technology in social structures and advocates for more inclusive and equitable design practices, leveraging technology to drive social change.
