Christina Harrington

Dr. Christina N. Harrington is a designer and qualitative researcher focusing on health technology design. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University and holds a joint appointment with the School of Design. She is also the Director of the Equity and Health Innovations Design Research Lab. Her research leverages design to drive health equity and socially responsible technology, with a particular focus on ethical artificial intelligence. Dr. Harrington employs community-engaged research methods and speculative co-design approaches to explore equity and inclusion in technology. Prior to joining Carnegie Mellon University, she served as a researcher at DePaul University and actively contributed to various community technology initiatives. Her work has been widely published in leading conferences and journals, including ACM CHI, CSCW, and DIS.
