Qiao Jin

Qiao Jin is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at North Carolina State University, leading the Extended Horizon Lab to study how extended reality (XR, including AR, VR, and MR) and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies can enhance learning, collaboration, and social connection. Before joining NC State, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the Human-Computer Interaction Institute, Carnegie Mellon University. She earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota, a Master's degree from the Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Automation, and a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from Shandong University. Her research has been widely published in leading conferences in human-computer interaction and social computing, earning multiple awards, including a CHI Best Paper Honorable Mention.
