Sabirat Rubya

Sabirat Rubya is an assistant professor in computer science at Marquette University, as well as an active scholar and researcher specializing in human-computer interaction, mental health technologies, and the design and optimization of community support systems. Her areas of focus include support systems for postpartum depression, online communities for substance use disorder recovery, and the effectiveness of mobile mental health applications. Sabirat Rubya previously worked as a research assistant at the University of Minnesota and has published numerous high-impact academic papers exploring how technology—via artificial intelligence and user-centered design—can improve mental health services. Her research aims to leverage technology to provide better support and opportunities to underserved groups.
