Ujwal Gadiraju

Ujwal Gadiraju is an Associate Professor at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) in the Netherlands, focusing on research in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (AI). He is a core member of the Web Information Systems Group and the Software Technology Department, as well as the Co-Director of the Delft AI "Design@Scale" laboratory. His research spans AI, Crowd Computing, and Information Retrieval, emphasizing the improvement of human experience through innovative computational technologies and systems, ensuring alignment of AI systems with human values, and fostering appropriate reliance on AI systems. He holds a PhD from Leibniz University of Hannover and a Master's degree in Computer Science from TU Delft. As an ACM Distinguished Speaker, he is actively involved in academic community service and serves on steering committees for multiple international conferences.
