Bonnie Nardi

Bonnie A. Nardi is a Professor Emerita in the School of Information and Computer Sciences at the University of California, Irvine, and an anthropologist. She is renowned for her research in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer-Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW), Activity Theory, and interaction design. Her work spans topics ranging from the relationship between technology and society to blogging, instant messaging, and video games. Nardi has conducted research at high-tech companies such as Apple, Hewlett-Packard, and AT&T, and has pioneered ethnographic studies of virtual worlds like World of Warcraft.
