Tawanna R Dillahunt

Tawanna Dillahunt is a professor at the University of Michigan School of Information and an affiliated faculty member in Science, Technology, and Public Policy. Her research lies at the intersection of technology, employment, and community well-being, focusing on developing digital tools for economically disadvantaged communities to address issues such as transportation, food access, and remote work. She also leads the Social Innovations Group, which studies ways to use technology to support marginalized populations in employment and entrepreneurship, and has developed various digital tools to improve digital literacy and reduce employment barriers for economically challenged populations. Her career achievements have earned her numerous honors, including ACM Distinguished Member, Kavli Fellow, and the Skip Ellis Award. Tawanna holds master's and doctoral degrees in Human-Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University.
