Meredith Ringel Morris

Meredith Ringel Morris is a distinguished computer scientist, currently serving as the Director of Human-AI Interaction Research at Google DeepMind. She is also an affiliate professor at the University of Washington's Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering and Information School. An ACM Fellow and ACM SIGCHI Academy member, she is widely recognized for her groundbreaking contributions to human-computer interaction, artificial intelligence, and accessibility technology. Prior to joining Google, she was a Research Area Manager at Microsoft Research, where she founded the Ability research group focused on accessibility technologies. Her work is dedicated to empowering people with disabilities through technology and fostering inclusive societal development. She earned her master's and doctorate degrees in computer science from Stanford University and a bachelor's degree (magna cum laude) in computer science from Brown University.
