Erin Beneteau

Erin Beneteau is a researcher, instructional designer, and experienced speech-language pathologist with a Ph.D. from the University of Washington Information School. Her research focuses on the field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), particularly on how technology can improve interpersonal communication. Her doctoral research explored the lived experiences of individuals with acquired motor and communication disorders and how they use assistive technologies in their daily lives. Combining clinical practice with technology design and education, she aims to enhance quality of life through both research and practice. Her areas of research also include family dynamics, conversational AI, and health informatics.
