Jodi Forlizzi

Jodi Forlizzi is the Herbert A. Simon Professor of Computer Science and Human-Computer Interaction at Carnegie Mellon University's Human-Computer Interaction Institute (HCII). She is one of the pioneers in design research, establishing it as an important form of research within Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). Her work spans diverse areas, including designing educational games, AI and machine learning-driven automated services, and technology design for healthcare. Additionally, she is an ACM CHI Academy member and has received multiple international awards recognizing her outstanding contributions to design research in HCI. Alongside her academic achievements, Jodi has also provided innovative product and service design consulting for renowned companies such as Disney and General Motors.
