Nuno Jardim Nunes

Nuno Jardim Nunes is a full professor at Instituto Superior Técnico and one of the founders of the Interactive Technologies Institute (ITI). He is also a visiting professor at the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. His research focuses on human-computer interaction, interaction design, software engineering, and the role of digital technologies in promoting sustainability and inclusive civic cultures. He has authored over 190 peer-reviewed publications across various domains, including energy systems, service science, and artificial intelligence. He has led numerous European and national research projects, securing more than 20 million euros in funding.

Nuno is known for his vision of the "Bauhaus of the Seas," which drives innovation at the intersection of design, interaction, and technology. He is actively involved in the international academic community, organizing global conferences and contributing to prominent academic organizations such as ACM SIGCHI.
