Laura Benton

Laura Benton is a researcher specializing in educational technology and human-computer interaction. She is currently a user researcher at Oak National Academy and an Honorary Senior Research Fellow at UCL Knowledge Lab. Her research focuses on leveraging technology to support children's learning, particularly through participatory design methods to develop technological solutions for children with special educational needs such as autism spectrum disorder and dyslexia. She has been deeply involved in major projects like ScratchMaths and iRead, exploring the integration of programming and mathematics education, and designing personalized digital literacy games to enhance learning experiences through gamification and user-centered design.
