Sauvik Das

Sauvik Das is an Assistant Professor in the School of Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology, within the Interactive Computing division, leading the GT SPUD Lab (Security, Privacy, Usability and Design). His research focuses on the intersections of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and cybersecurity, exploring ways to improve user agency over personal data and online experiences. His research topics include social cybersecurity, designing human-centered AI systems for counter-algorithmic surveillance, developing privacy design processes, and creating end-to-end systems that foster collective privacy action. His work has received multiple awards at international conferences and funding from NSF and Facebook. Additionally, he is an active academic blogger and video creator.
