Jiawei Zhou

Jiawei Zhou is a PhD candidate in Human-Computer Interaction at Georgia Institute of Technology, whose research spans Human-Computer Interaction, Social Computing, and Health and Wellbeing. His work focuses on enabling meaningful interaction between people and AI within complex informational and health contexts, while exploring the risks and opportunities of generative AI in the information ecosystem. His research integrates theoretical frameworks with computational and qualitative methods to examine how technology influences public health, social interaction, and individual wellbeing. His work has been published in top computing conferences such as CHI, CSCW, and ACL, earning numerous accolades, including an Honorable Mention for CHI'23 Best Paper and a CSCW'25 Best Paper Award. He is currently part of the Social Dynamics and Wellbeing lab, advised by Munmun De Choudhury.
