Tadayoshi Kohno

Tadayoshi Kohno (Yoshi) is the McDevitt Chair Professor in Computer Science, Ethics, and Society at Georgetown University and serves at its Center for Digital Ethics. His research focuses on cybersecurity, privacy protection, personal safety, and AI ethics, aiming to explore technology's societal impact and ethical consequences. Previously, he was a distinguished professor at the University of Washington, where he led the Security and Privacy Research Lab and co-directed the Tech Policy Lab. His academic accolades include four "Test of Time" awards, the NSF CAREER Award, and the Sloan Research Fellowship. His work has been recognized in academia and showcased in a U.S. congressional hearing and the NOVA science documentary.
