Katie Davis

Katie Davis is a professor and Interim Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs at the Information School, University of Washington, and the director of the Digital Youth Lab at the university. Her research focuses on the impact of digital technology on adolescent learning, development, and wellbeing, aiming to co-design positive technological experiences for adolescents and their families. Her areas of expertise include human development, human-computer interaction, and learning sciences. As a scholar and writer, she has authored three books about technology and adolescent life, including Technology’s Child: Digital Media’s Role in the Ages and Stages of Growing Up. Katie holds two master’s degrees and a doctoral degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and has received several academic awards throughout her career, including the National Science Foundation CAREER Award.
