Ryan M. Kelly

Ryan M. Kelly is a Senior Research Fellow specializing in the field of Human-Computer Interaction. He is currently part of the Human-Computer Interaction group at the University of Melbourne and also serves as a Visiting Research Fellow with the Software Engineering and Design group at the Open University UK. His research focuses on areas such as human-computer interaction, digital health, computer-supported cooperative work, and social computing, with particular interest in how technology can support social interaction and the design of technologies that promote health and well-being. He has a strong background in both qualitative and quantitative research and extensive experience in interaction design methods. His research projects include work on information retrieval, enhancing video calling tools for older adults, and designing technologies for home care. His work has been published in numerous top-tier conferences and journals and has received several Best Paper awards.
