Melissa J Rogerson

Melissa J. Rogerson is a Senior Lecturer in Human-Computer Interaction and an ARC DECRA Fellow in the School of Computing and Information Systems at the University of Melbourne. Her work sits at the intersection of Game Studies, Board Game Studies, and HCI. She studies how digital and electronic tools support hybrid tabletop and distanced play, how people form and enact strategies in games, and how traditionally offline activities develop digital extensions. Her current projects include “Hybrid Technologies for Tabletop Games” (ARC DECRA, 2024–2026) and “Co-creating Innovations in Digital Storytelling with Older Adults” (ARC Discovery Project, 2024–2027).
