Jorge Goncalves

Jorge Goncalves is an Associate Professor in Human-Computer Interaction at the School of Computing and Information Systems at the University of Melbourne. His research spans across Human-Computer Interaction, Social Computing, Ubiquitous Computing, Crowdsourcing, and Virtual Reality. He obtained his PhD in Computer Science and Engineering with distinction from the University of Oulu. He also completed his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science and Engineering at the Madeira Interactive Technologies Institute, where he participated in the Carnegie Mellon University | Portugal partnership. He was previously a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Ubiquitous Computing at the University of Oulu. Currently, he is dedicated to advancing the field of Human-Computer Interaction and is looking for PhD students interested in Social Computing and Ubiquitous Computing.
