Wendy Ju

Wendy Ju is a renowned researcher in information science and interaction design. She is currently an Associate Professor of Information Science and Design Technology at Cornell Tech and holds key roles within Cornell University's Ann S. Bowers College of Computing and Information Science, the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning, as well as the Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute in collaboration with the Technion–Israel Institute of Technology. Her research specializes in human-computer interaction, robotics interaction, and the design of interfaces for autonomous vehicles, aiming to improve communication and user experience between people and devices through interactive technology design. Previously, she was the Executive Director of Interaction Design Research at the Stanford University Center for Design Research and an Associate Professor of Interaction Design at the California College of the Arts. She holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and a Master's in Media Arts and Sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Wendy Ju is the author of The Design of Implicit Interactions and was inducted into the ACM SIGCHI Academy in 2025.
