Rachael Garrett

Rachael Garrett is a researcher focusing on the intersection of design, ethics, and autonomous technologies, currently a PhD candidate at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. Her research explores the relationship between humans and intelligent technologies through Soma Design, ethical practices in design, and human-computer interaction. She develops theoretical tools for the qualitative analysis of ethical practices and has presented award-winning papers at top-tier conferences like ACM CHI and DIS. Her work combines analytic creativity, a critical feminist perspective, and qualitative research methods to reimagine how humans and technologies coexist in the world. She also possesses teaching experience, having taught undergraduate and graduate user experience design and human-computer interaction courses, along with supervising thesis projects in both academia and industry.
