Jialin Deng

Jialin Deng is a researcher, designer, and art practitioner specializing in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Bristol, focusing on innovative interfaces combining edible materials with computational technologies. Her research redefines interaction design by exploring multimodal assistive technologies and crossmodal experiences, advancing the integration of food and technology. Jialin holds a PhD in HCI from Monash University and a Master's degree from the University of the Arts London. Her work has been exhibited at the London Design Festival and Science Gallery Melbourne, and featured in major media outlets such as FRAME and Forbes. A pioneer in computational food design, Jialin has delivered talks at international events like TEDx Guangzhou and Dagstuhl Seminar.
