Florian Floyd Mueller

Florian 'Floyd' Mueller is a professor in the field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and the Chair of Future Interfaces at Monash University. He is also the director of the award-winning research team Exertion Games Lab, focusing on exertion games and bodily interaction design. His research aims to support an active lifestyle through interaction design, exploring the intersection of technology, the human body, and play. He has been a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at Stanford University and worked at renowned institutions worldwide, such as MIT Media Lab and Microsoft Research Asia. Floyd has authored over 250 high-quality research papers and has received numerous significant academic awards. His work extends beyond academic contributions, influencing practical applications as well. His game designs have been featured by Wired, BBC, and Discovery Science Channel, and exhibited on multiple international platforms.
