Thiemo Wambsganss

Thiemo Wambsganss is a full-time research professor specializing in Human-Computer Interaction and AI systems. He leads the “Human-Centered AI Systems Laboratory (HAIS Lab)” at the Bern University of Applied Sciences in Switzerland. His research encompasses information systems, natural language processing, and machine learning, with a focus on developing intelligent tools to optimize educational and professional contexts. His work involves designing intelligent conversational agents and writing support systems, exploring human skill modeling to enhance learning and working efficiency, and developing intelligent feedback and mentoring systems. His research is supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation, the European Commission, and Innosuisse, and he collaborates with various AI startups to integrate cutting-edge AI methods into practical applications.
