Shwetha Rajaram

Shwetha Rajaram is a PhD candidate at the University of Michigan School of Information, advised by Professor Michael Nebeling. Her research focuses on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR), Generative Artificial Intelligence, and Usable Security and Privacy. She is dedicated to exploring how innovative interaction technologies can make emerging technologies, such as extended reality and generative AI, more beneficial and secure for users. Shwetha's work specifically addresses the design of privacy-friendly augmented reality experiences and the development of adaptive techniques for privacy trade-offs in multi-user environments. Her research has been published and recognized with awards at top-tier academic conferences such as CHI and UIST.
