Andy D. Wilson

Andrew D. Wilson is a Partner Research Manager at Microsoft Research and a pioneering researcher in the field of human-computer interaction. He earned his bachelor's degree from Cornell University and his doctorate from the MIT Media Laboratory. Dr. Wilson's research focuses on leveraging sensing technologies, signal processing, and display technologies to create innovative human-computer interaction paradigms. He has made significant contributions at Microsoft, playing a central role in the commercialization of early depth cameras that led to the development of Kinect, and leading the creation of the first-generation Surface interactive table. His wide-ranging research interests include interactive multimodal systems, generative AI, ubiquitous computing, and mixed reality.
