Nicola Wendt

Nicola Wendt-Lucas is a social scientist with an interdisciplinary background, focusing on the intersection of digital technology, policy, and social practices. Her work particularly emphasizes experiences of negotiating technological transformations against historical and contemporary inequalities. Her research methodology primarily includes ethnography and community participatory research. Nicola completed her PhD within the Information Security Group at Royal Holloway, University of London, focusing on the societal impacts of digitalization in Greenland, with a particular emphasis on gendered perspectives of security. Currently, she serves as a Senior Research Fellow at Nordregio, investigating the complexities of digital transformation in the Nordic region and beyond.
