Guido Makransky

Guido Makransky is a professor of educational psychology at the University of Copenhagen. He serves as the director of the Virtual Learning Lab and leads the Social Cultural Organizational Personality and Educational Psychology (SCOPE) department at the Department of Psychology. His research primarily focuses on educational psychology and educational technology, specifically on how emerging technologies such as virtual reality, augmented reality, and generative artificial intelligence impact learning, collaboration, and behavior changes. His studies combine controlled experiments in laboratory settings with real-world applications to provide significant empirical support for the theoretical advancement and practice of educational psychology. His goal is to contribute to evidence-based research, offering improved solutions for instructional designers, policymakers, and researchers, thereby influencing policy development.
