Ann Blandford

Ann Blandford is a Professor of Human-Computer Interaction at University College London (UCL) and the Deputy Director of UCL's Institute of Healthcare Engineering. Her research focuses on digital health, covering topics such as behavior change, health and well-being, and human error in healthcare. Blandford earned her bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge and completed her PhD in Artificial Intelligence and Education at the Open University. Throughout her academic career, she has served as a professor at Middlesex University and is now an internationally recognized scholar in the fields of Human-Computer Interaction and Information Interaction. Her research has significantly influenced the academic community as well as the practice of digital health and medical safety. She has also been honored with the Suffrage Science award for her outstanding contributions to mathematics and computing.
