Ming Yin

Ming Yin is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Purdue University. Her research spans human-computer interaction, applied artificial intelligence and machine learning, computational social science, and behavioral science. Using experimental and computational methods, she investigates how to leverage collective intelligence to enhance machine intelligence (e.g., crowdsourcing and social computing) and how to design intelligent systems that are easy to understand, trust, and effectively involve (e.g., human-AI interaction). Her work has been recognized with Best Paper and Honorable Mention awards at top-tier international conferences. Ming Yin served as the co-chair of the 2022 AAAI HCOMP Conference and has received the NSF CAREER Award for her contributions to advancing human-AI collaborative decision-making.
