Xiaojuan Ma

Xiaojuan Ma is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, specializing in research on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). She earned her PhD in Computer Science from Princeton University and worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Human-Computer Interaction Institute (HCII) at Carnegie Mellon University. She also served as a researcher in the School of Computing at the National University of Singapore (NUS). Prior to joining HKUST, she was a Human-Computer Interaction researcher at Huawei Noah's Ark Lab. Professor Ma's research interests include data-driven, human-centered artificial intelligence (HEAI) and human-centered computing (HEC), with applications spanning education, healthcare, and design. Her research has been published in leading international journals and conferences, making significant contributions to the field.
