Ken Hinckley

Ken Hinckley is an American computer scientist and inventor, currently serving as a Senior Principal Research Manager at Microsoft Research, renowned for his work in the field of human-computer interaction. His research interests include sensing technology, pen computing, and cross-device interaction. He has authored more than 80 academic papers and holds over 150 patents. Ken has received numerous Best Paper Awards, as well as lifetime achievement awards, at premier conferences such as UIST and CHI. He is an Associate Editor for ACM TOCHI and a member of the CHI Academy. His research has significantly contributed to the theoretical and technological advancements in modern human-computer interaction.
