Martin Baumann

Martin Baumann is a professor of Human Factors Engineering at Ulm University, specializing in human-computer interaction, human-vehicle interaction in automated driving, as well as related cognitive psychology research. His work includes internal and external human-machine interface design for automated vehicles, the dynamics of trust in automation, and cognitive studies modeling driver behavior. He has an extensive research background at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and has also worked as a researcher at the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO) and the German Federal Highway Research Institute (BASt). His research is widely applied in the fields of traffic system safety and human-machine interaction design.
