Enrico Rukzio

Professor Enrico Rukzio is the head of the Human-Computer Interaction research group at Ulm University and the director of the Institute of Media Informatics. His research focuses on the design and development of intelligent interaction systems, including automotive user interfaces, democratization of personal manufacturing technologies, gaze-based implicit interaction interfaces, applications in augmented and mixed reality, health-support interfaces, and sustainable interaction systems. His work spans a wide range of domains, aiming to improve user efficiency, satisfaction, safety, and quality of life through innovative interaction technologies. Professor Rukzio has published more than 60 papers in top international conferences and journals and has received multiple best paper awards. He is also a member of the computer science review board at the German Research Foundation (DFG) and has received long-term funding through the DFG’s Reinhart Koselleck program. He has chaired and co-chaired multiple academic conferences and is widely recognized in both academia and industry.
