George Buchanan

George Buchanan is a Professor at the School of Computing Technologies at RMIT University and a world-class researcher in the fields of human-computer interaction and information interaction. His research focuses on how people engage with vast and complex information, particularly in sensitive areas such as mobile device usability, digital libraries, and health informatics. In recent years, his work has shifted towards addressing the challenges of misinformation and developing tools to support professional tasks and significant personal decision-making. He previously led the Centre for Human-Computer Interaction Design at City, University of London, and served as Head of the School of Information at the University of Melbourne, where his early works on mobile web usability remain a benchmark in the field.
